The Gutterson Fieldhouse has been the home of the University of Vermont's Catamount hockey program since its opening in 1963. The 4,000-seat sports venue has been host to a smattering of historic hockey exhibition matches, including epic battles between the Catamounts and the United States Olympic Hockey squad, as well as Soviet teams like Moscow-Spatrak and the Yaroslavl Torpedo. The stadium is located south of the city center, near the Vermont National Country Club.
